ARIZONA MAN GETS BUSTED FOR POSING AS BOUNTY HUNTER

KINGMAN - A Kingman, Arizona man faces theft-related charges after he reportedly posed as a bail bondsmen and collected $325 from a woman for capturing a man he never found.

Edward Bruce Gould Jr., 49, of Kingman, was arrested Thursday on a felony charge of forgery following an investigation started by Mohave County Sheriff's detectives March 14.

A 78-year-old woman told detectives she paid Gould $325 in February after he told her he captured a man she hired him to find.

The woman had previously posted bail for the man, who was arrested last year on drug charges and failed to appear for court.

FAKE BOUNTY HUNTER SENTENCING POSTPONED

BRIDGETON, NJ — For the second time, Sentencing was  postponed for the Vineland man who posed as a bounty hunter and arrested a pregnant woman while demanding money from her boyfriend in the fall of 2012.

The case against Edward Collins has been anything but ordinary. In his last appearance in late December, which was also supposed to be a sentencing, Collins unexpectedly fired his attorney, Michael P. Resavage, and attempted to withdraw his plea agreement with the Cumberland County Prosecutor's Office.

HAWAII BAIL BONDSMAN ACCUSED OF IMPERSONATING POLICE OFFICER

HONOLULU  - Authorities say they've arrested a 35-year-old man who is accused of impersonating a police officer and threatening two men at a Waikiki hotel.

The Honolulu Star-Advertiser says the man was arrested Saturday evening on suspicion of first-degree terroristic threatening and second-degree impersonating a law enforcement officer.

Police say the man threatened a 24-year-old man and a 27-year-old man at the Embassy Suites Waikiki Beach Walk hotel.

The suspect, whose name was not immediately available, reportedly operates a Big Island bail bonds company.

HAWAII BOUNTY HUNTER INVOLVED IN HIGH-SPEED CHASE FACING ENDANGERMENT AND DRUG CHARGES

A bounty hunter has been indicted on numerous charges stemming from what witnesses allegedly told police was a high-speed chase through Keaukaha in September.

The six-count indictment dated Jan. 15 charges 43-year-old Benny William Gordon of Pahoa with first-degree criminal property damage, second-degree reckless endangering and two counts each of third-degree promotion of a dangerous drug and possession of drug paraphernalia.
